An angry auction

Following a legal liquidation of a dog breeding in Mayenne, nearly 250 to 300 breeding dogs and puppies of Yorkshire, Chihuahua, Golden Retriever, Bichon Frisé and Bichon M altais will be put up for sale on Tuesday April 9, 2019 at 3 p.m. in a strictly confidential location, which will only be revealed a few hours before the auction.

“This kind of sale is extremely rare! » admits the auctioneer of the Hôtel des Ventes in Laval, Me Hiret, in charge of this mission.

The 30 Million Friends Foundation, outraged by this legal practice, vigorously protests and demands the pure and simple cancellation of this sale in the name of the defense and protection of animals. In addition, it claims the custody of these purebred dogs "so that they can be placed in foster families" and calls on the authorities to accept this proposal since it has, via its network of partner shelters, the ability to care for these dogs and find loving families for them.

Animals reduced to the rank of objects

The 30 Million Foundation cannot tolerate dogs being considered as mere merchandise for sale. It was also the announcement of the sale on the website of the Laval auction house that set fire to powder by classifying the dogs for sale in the "professional equipment" section

" "We fought so that animals are finally recognized as living and sentient beings in 2015 and no longer as movable property, and today we are about to put these dogs up for auction as vulgar objects”, declared Reha Hutin, president of the Foundation, quoted in Ouest France."

" 300 dogs auctioned as vulgar objects while animals are recognized as livingandsentient beings. A shame: the announcement of this auction is classified in the Professional Equipment section of the site which promotes it❗️&x1f621;https://t.co/JOGLU3sc0F"

The 30 Million Friends Foundation is also worried about the future of these animals because at a breeder, the price of these purebred dogs is around several hundred euros or even more than a thousand euros. Very attractive price which is likely to arouse the interest of all kinds of buyers and a resale for purely lucrative purposes without worrying about the well-being of these animals.

Last news, the President of the Foundation sent a letter to the commissioner-liquidators, asking for the auction to be canceled and for the dogs to be entrusted to the Association.Masters Hiret and Nugues refused, arguing that they were only executing a court decision while offering to transfer the "unsold items" to the Foundation.

"These are animals that have already suffered and we are going to send them back to professionals who will exploit them" , declared Reha Hutin, while confirming that the Foundation will take good care of animals that will not have found taker.

It goes without saying that this future sale, which has already generated many comments on social networks, has not finished making a lot of ink flow.
