Lupo, the Cambridge dog is no more
While it is common knowledge that Queen Elisabeth II likes to surround herself with representatives of the canine race - evidenced by her many Corgi breed dogs -, we knew less about this same attachment in Kate and William.
And yet, it was through a publication published on the official Instagram account of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on November 22 that this tenderness for dogs was revealed to the general public. Unfortunately, this was very sad news since the couple revealed the death of Lupo, their black English Cocker Spaniel, who had shared their daily life for 9 years.

The photo of the missing animal is accompanied by this caption which testifies to the deep sorrow of the couple:
“Very sadly, last weekend our dear dog Lupo died. He has been the heart of our family for the past nine years and will be greatly missed. William and Kate. »
Previously, Lupo had already appeared in several photographs of the royal family, notably alongside Gorges, the couple's eldest son. He had also been the hero of four children's books called "The Adventures of a Royal Dog" .
The moving tribute to James Middleton, Kate's brother
Lupo, whose first name means "wolf" in Italian, was given to the couple by Kate Middleton's family shortly after their wedding in December 2011. It's Ella, a dog belonging to Carole and Michael Middleton who had given birth to him.
On James Middleton's Instagram account, we also learn that Lupo had several brothers and sisters including Zulu, Inka and Luna adopted by the brother of the Duchess of Cambridge. The latter is also very attached to cocker spaniels since he has no less than 5.

He also wanted to pay a vibrant tribute to Lupo on Instagram by declaring:
“It is with great sadness that Lupo, the beloved dog of my sister Catherine and her family, passed away. Lupo was Ella's son, brother of Zulu, Inka and Luna. He was 9 years old.
Nothing can ever prepare you for the loss of a dog. For those who have never had a dog, it can be difficult to understand this loss. However, for those who have loved a dog, know the truth: a dog is not just a pet; he is a family member, a best friend, a faithful companion, a teacher and a therapist.
Over the years many people have shared with me the pain they felt losing a dog and for most of them the loss of a dog is, at almost comparable in all respects to the loss of a loved human being. The pain I felt losing my first dog, Tilly, in 2017, still hurts me and the news of Lupo's death brought a flood of emotions.
There is no Lots of rules on how to mourn a dog, but I said a prayer, lit a candle, and took Ella (his mom) for a long walk to spend some time remembering Lupo.Rest in peace Lupo. Tilly and Mini are waiting for you. You will always be remembered and your legacy will live on forever. Good boy. »
